Even though I was born and raised in the city, it has been my life long dream to live in the country. My husband and I are extremely blessed to live on seven beautiful acres in Poplarville, MS. We were even able to turn the 2005 disaster, Hurricane Katrina, into beauty. She knocked down many trees on our property and now that area is what I call "The Park." I believe that disasters are simply an open door to new beginnings.

The Park

I was born with a deep love of horses. I even wore out my parents sofa arm pretending that it was my Saturday morning mount; they had to recover that sofa twice. I was able to keep a horse at a stable for many years, but there is nothing like having your own horse on your own pasture.

We have been adopted by many animals. I really believe that they know this is a safe place to seek asylum. Because we don’t have an unlimited budget and because we don’t want the animals to produce more orphans, we spay/neuter anyone who chooses to stay with us.

My husband and I are both avid gardeners so our home is a work in progress. Please enjoy “Our World” as we would like to share the beauty of our blessings!
